About LIEMÈS
LIEMÈS began as restaurant gathering, enjoying, and experiencing. Since late 2025, it has expanded to include a versatile 1,000 m² event space, featuring a foyer a terras m² terras , creating even more room for gatherings, celebrations, and special occasions.
The Roman Limes
LIEMÈS is derived from the Latin word “limes,” which means “border.” The phonetic pronunciation is ‘lie-mes’—hence the name. It is also the word for the boundary and defensive zone of the Roman Empire, which in the Netherlands ran through the area where Liemès is located.
